Log in using your Family Portal login

Select your preferred language

Allow Notifications

On the Home Page, click on your profile icon in the upper right corner (it should be a grey circle with your initials)

Click on "Notifications" under "Settings"

Click on "Chat Messages" under "Chats"

Select how often you would like to receive push notifications from your chat groups. Note that you have one chat in which teachers may send classroom updates and one chat with the parents/caregivers in your child's classroom.

Click the back arrow button in the upper left corner, leading you back to the notifications page.

Now click on "Mailing Lists" under "Subscriptions"

Click the toggle on button for mailing lists that are relevant to you. It is recommended that all LCS families subscribe to the Tuesday Memo mailing list.

Select "Chats" on the bottom navagation

Chat groups should appear based on the class(es) of your child(ren).

Each classroom has two group chats configured as such:

1. The first group chat (title is the name of the classroom) for each classroom includes the classroom guide(s) and classroom parents. In this chat, only the classroom guide(s) will have the ability to send messages, which they will do for short reminders (e.g. "Make sure your child brings their snow pants today" or "Remember we are going to the Land School tomorrow").
2. The second group chat (title is the name of the classroom-parents) will not include the classroom guide and will be just for classroom parents and caregivers. We heard feedback from families that there has not been an easy way to connect directly with other classroom families, so we are excited to introduce this in an attempt to support that community-building.
   All members of this chat will be able to participate and will be monitored by LCS Admin Staff. 

Athletic Director, Geo Stavrou will also have Chat groups for athletics (e.g. Cross Country) to communicate quick updates about practices and/or meets. Parents will also be able to participate in this chat to ask questions, coordinate carpools, etc.

Select the news feeds that you would like to appear in your news feed. These can be edited at any time. It is recommended that all LCS Families subscribe to the Tuesday Memo.

The LCS Blog will be home to Research Center News, as well as long form writing and updates about various topics including the Land School and the 50th Anniversary.
