The Four Goals of Anti-Bias & Anti-Racist Education
Diversity
Each child will express comfort and joy with human diversity, accurate language for human differences, and deep care for human connections.
Identity
Each child will demonstrate self-awareness, confidence, family pride, and positive social identities.
Justice
Each child will increasingly recognize unfairness, have language to describe unfairness, and understand that unfairness hurts.
Action
Each child will demonstrate empowerment and the skills to act, with others or alone, against prejudice and/or discriminatory actions.
EDJ Initiatives
Led by our Equity, Diversity, & Justice (EDJ) Advisor and the Head of School, the school has a team of staff members leading strategic initiatives in administrative policy and procedures, curriculum, and community connections. Through these efforts, we are dedicated to creating a Montessori experience that is not only academically enriching, but also deeply committed to the principles of equity and justice.
