LCS Gives Week
A Time of Community Celebration
The culmination of annual giving at Lake Country School is LCS Gives Week, where we come together as a community once more to celebrate what LCS Gives us, and what we give our school in return.
We recognize how LCS makes a difference, from our students receiving a Montessori education, friends and community, and a life-long love for learning. The week is full of fun events for students and families alike, headlined by an assembly where we recognize a member of the LCS community who has given more than most to our school. Past recipients of this award include LCS co-founder Larry Schaefer and long-time Junior High teacher and naturalist Doug Alecci.
We also recognize how we give back to Lake Country School by volunteering our time, lending our skills to the school, and supporting the LCS Fund financially. A week-long fundraising drive provides all a chance to make an outright donation, and we will feature a silent auction with items and experiences donated by members of our community, classroom gifts and Children’s House t-shirts, and offerings of spring and summer Great Gatherings. We invite all community members to support LCS Gives Week by contributing experiences or gift cards to local establishments, hosting Great Gatherings, or outright donations, as we strive for full participation to reach our final goals.
