Outdoor Education
Lake Country School has several outdoor spaces that are used as extensions of our indoor classrooms. These learning environments provide students opportunities to express their creativity and enhance their connection to the natural world.
Our outdoor classrooms, known internally as Outdoor Learning Environments (OLE), align with LCS' core value to nurture the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical potential of the whole child. OLE provide scientifically backed benefits of being in nature and give students the opportunity to learn how to respect it.
The biggest OLE LCS offers its students and families is our own farm, known internally as the Land School. There, students learn how to be responsible stewards of the land, respect and care for farm animals and wildlife, and how to farm and forage.
