Junior High

Students looking over a geological viewpoint

Grades 7 & 8

The middle school—known internally as Junior High—curriculum at Lake Country School is designed to cater to the diverse interests and developmental needs of early adolescents. This pivotal age is characterized by exploration, challenge, and personal growth, making it crucial for education to be expansive, intellectually stimulating, and physically engaging. Our aim is to cultivate students' awareness of shared ideas and values while fostering their capacity for reflection and intellectual independence. The school environment is intentionally nurturing and secure, encouraging students to consolidate their experiences and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Our curriculum operates on a yearly cycle that emphasizes student-driven research and project-based learning across disciplines. The following courses are offered to support comprehensive development.
