The Primary Level, called Children's House, offers a hands-on, self-paced learning environment for children aged three to six, fostering development through meaningful, practical work in various subjects.
Children's House
Children’s House serves three to six-year-old children in multi-age classrooms. Dr. Montessori observed that young children absorb information effortlessly and learn by working with self-chosen, concrete, and hands-on materials. Children work at their own pace as they construct themselves through meaningful work in practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, cultural subjects, and physical activities.
Experiential & Sensorial Learning
The CH program emphasizes experiential learning and mentorship from the start. Hands-on activities that include high-quality materials begin to cultivate a sense of respect for the physical world and a deeper, more expansive understanding of the subjects being explored. Mixed-age classrooms mean that the older students step into leadership roles, helping to demonstrate learning topics to younger students. From this point we begin to encounter collaboration amongst older students.
Lifelong Love of Learning
The joy of physical activity, the inspiration of creative arts, and the benefits of language-learning all contribute to nurturing curious, motivated, and culturally aware students. This comprehensive approach ensures that children are well-prepared for future academic success and personal growth while combating modern day anxiety in young people.
