50th Anniversary
The 2026-2027 school year marks the 50th anniversary of Lake Country School and the 30th anniversary of the Land School. As we celebrate this milestone, we invite all members of the Lake Country School community to fly away home and join us for a year of festivities, reflection, and being in community together. As the year goes on, updates and further details regarding various events and gatherings will be added to this page.

One of the songs known in the halls of LCS begins with the words, "this is my school." As a child, those words meant belonging. Today, they mean something more. They remind us that the gifts we receive from a place like Lake Country School carry with them a responsibility. To say, "this is my school" is not a statement of ownership. It is a commitment to stewardship. Of the institution itself. Of the relationships and community that make it special. Of the opportunities it creates for children and families.Sarah jean mason mitchell
