Application Process

1. Tuesday Morning Observation
From mid-October to mid-May, we host observations for prospective parents (without their children) on Tuesday mornings. Parents tour all levels of the school and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Lake Country School. 
2. Attend an Admissions Event

Get to Know Lake Country School: November 30, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
 
Admissions Open House: January 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
3. Complete application for admission and submit an application fee
The admissions application deadline for first round consideration is February 1. Applications received after February 1 are considered and dependent on availability. Applicants for tuition assistance are not required to submit the application fee and may not include the fee when submitting the online application.

4. Complete the tuition assistance application and submit with fee
Complete the SSS's Parent’s Financial Statement (not in TADS). Print a copy of your most recent IRS 1040 and mail to the Lake Country School Business Manager by, March 1. Late tuition assistance applications will be considered, dependent on funding. There is no fee waiver for the SSS's PFS application.
 
5. Individual Applicant Visits
Children's House Applicant Visiting Day is Friday, March 1, 2024
Elementary 1 Applicant Visit Days are Tuesday, February 27th through Thursday, February 29th
Elementary 2 Applicant Visit Days are by appointment

6. Record Release and Teacher Recommendation
(For Elementary and Junior High Applicants Only)
Upon completion of the application, parents of candidates may access the required release form and a student recommendation form to sign and deliver to their child's current school from links provided below. This authorizes your child's present school to send LCS a copy of your child's school records and a teacher to submit a confidential recommendation. Forms must be returned by March 1. Late applicants should return forms as soon as possible. 
 
7. Receive a decision from Lake Country School
Parents will be contacted regarding an admission decision by April 1. If a position is offered to your child at this time, a non-refundable $500 tuition deposit will be due. Upon receipt of a tuition deposit, we will hold a place for your child in our program and you will be contractually obligated for the year's tuition. If a position is not offered to your child but you wish to be considered for the following year, a new application must be initiated by the parent. The application fee is waived. 
 
8. Opt out of wait group
Applicants not admitted will be automatically placed in the wait group only for the year applied. If you do not wish to be placed in our wait group, please notify the Admissions Office.
