Morning Drop-Off
Parking Lot – From 8:45 to 9 am, the parking lot is open ONLY for CH drop-off. At all other times, the south parking row is available for parent parking; the two north side rows are for staff and school vehicles. Additional parking is available on the street. Please do not park on the east side of Pleasant from 38th to the parking lot entrance during drop-off.
Children’s House – Drop-off begins at 8:45 for CH. Following a clockwise direction, CH parents should approach the school on 38th St. heading west, pulling carefully in line in front of the cars waiting at 38th St. drop-off. Turn right onto Pleasant Ave. (No left turn is allowed onto Pleasant if heading east on 38th St.). Be aware that there will be one city bus making a brief stop at the corner on 38th St. during this time and it must be allowed access to the curb. Enter the parking lot for drop-off. Stay in line and do not pull around other cars. Pull up as far as you can and wait your turn. Staff members will be present to assist children from vehicles. When leaving the parking lot please turn right only.
Elementary, Junior High, and afternooners with older siblings – Between 8:45 and 9:00am, all elementary and JH students and CH afternooners with older siblings should use the 38th St. drop-off. Please approach the school from the east in order to get into line—do not make a U-turn on 38th St. Children should wait in the car with their gear until a staff member is ready to assist them from the vehicle. After your child exits, please pull back into traffic with caution since there will be CH parents pulling into line in front of your car.
After 9 am students may be dropped off in the the parking lot area in front of the main entrance. Students should never be dropped off from an unparked car pausing on Pleasant Ave.
